ANYTHING GOES BUT INCLUDE SOMETHING YOU'VE NEVER DONE BEFORE

Welcome to our first creative endeavor at Creative Carte Blanche.
We are so happy that you are here!

I hope that you will find our group of creative instigators inspiring, instructional and encouraging as we share this art journey together.

Our first art adventure is "anything goes" but with a small twist.  Since we're all about discovering and embracing your own creative style, we want you to incorporate something you've never done before in your piece.

That "fear factor" can be a HUGE road block in your creativity. But what is the worst thing that can happen?  You don't like it, gesso over it and start again.  Or ... you just might create something that you had no idea you could do and absolutely LOVE it!  So, let loose of the chains of "I can't do this" and experiment, create and PLAY!

Recently I have been really loving working in art journals.  On the pages above, I have done a few things that I've never done before; primarily sketching a face and hand that I actually used in my art. You can find the complete pictorial tutorial on my blog at
CREATIVITY IS CONTAGIOUS

I hope it will inspire you to either begin discovering your own artistic style or zeroing in on the things that make you passionate about your art.  Then create your own piece incorporating something you've never done before and share it with this community of artistic souls. We'd love to see your work and read your thoughts behind your creative process.

  7. This is a great way to start. I have just watched a YouTube video about using gel medium in many different ways, I may try that and see what happens.
