Try Something New... Color Bursts!!

Greetings fellow crafty friends!  Hels Sheridan here today and ohlalaaaa I am so excited to be doing my very first post here on the new Creative Carte Blanche blog!   Continuing on with our theme for this month of "trying something new" I leapt at the chance to attend a Ken Oliver workshop last weekend knowing that I was going to be able to play with something I have never had the chance to before...Color Bursts!  Here is a little pic of one of the projects I made in class...

Being an old crafter - or should I say - a crafter who isn't necessarily that old but has been crafting for yonks, I was a little perplexed what exactly to chose for my blog post this month... I mean, most of us have tried everything at sometime or another.... or have we?  I definitely think not as once I got to thinking, I realised that I have actually gotten myself into a bit of a rut with my arty efforts so to actually try something completely different, not only with the product but also the techniques... well, that has awoken a new kind of sparkle in my crafty heart and I am raring to go off and create a tonne more stuff now.

As you probably know by now, the whole idea of the Creative Carte Blanche is just that... carte blanche, freedom, call it what you will, to just go and create.  We give you a prompt each month for a theme... the rest is up to you.  Please do go and check out the gorgeous creations my lovely Creative Cohorts have already blogged.. keep on scrolling down and you will be able to see each post... and then go!  Yes, go on... go and create... make something that makes you happy... try a new technique... use a new product... just let yourself go and enjoy the creative process.  Then once you have done that... come back! Come back and LINK HERE and enter our challenge and everyone can come and see your creation.... tis all about the sharing and you know what... art is for sharing!  Have fun and thank you for reading... and if you would like to hop on over to my blog to see more photos of the things I made please CLICK HERE.    TTFN!

And you are so right, those of us who have been at it for so long can easily get into a rut, there is a world of exploration out there beyond the well tried products of certain well known crafting heroes.... that's what I love about this new challenge, - you go girls!!
