Try Something NEW ~ Mixed Media Embroidery

Hi, friends!  Its Cheryl Grigsby with you today sharing my Creative Adventure this month to
Try Something NEW!!

We are kicking this thing off right with a theme that says do anything you want, as long as you've never done it before.  Ouch.  Sounded exciting to me till I sat at my desk and wasn't sure what to reach for.  I'm always drawn to dimension and texture and I've been looking at embroidered words and images a lot lately.  I'd never incorporated embroidery into my artwork (mostly because I don't really know how to do it!!), so there it was.  Mixed media featuring embroidery.

I really hope you'll all catch the spirit of these Creative Adventures.  You'll get a nudge from us but then you are completely free to create as your mind and heart are inspired.  We are SO enjoying seeing all that you are doing and look forward to hiking this creative path with you!
