CREATIVE ADVENTURE #2 ~ TRIPLE TROUBLE ~ THREE THINGS THAT DO NOT GO TOGETHER

Hello all of you lovely artists and friends!  Thank you so much for making our first month at Creative Carte Blanche such a success!

The Creative Carte Blanche Cohorts really took to heart the pearls of wisdom from the amazing artists who shared their thoughts on finding your own creative style.  If you missed that inspirational video or need a refresher, you can find it HERE.

In discovering your own creative voice, you often need to come out of your comfort zone and introduce yourself to all sorts of styles, mediums and different techniques.  So our first challenge was all about including something you've never tried before in your art piece.

We had several people up for the challenge and as a result, lots of beautiful art work was created and shared here in February. It was so much fun to read all of your blog posts as you expressed your innermost thoughts and photographs as you worked.  Just fascinating!

Thank you so much for your sharing your talent and your lovely comments with all of us!  Are you ready for a new creative adventure?

This month, let's stretch our imaginations by taking THREE objects that have absolutely NOTHING to do with each other and incorporating them into one piece of art.  There are no limitations as to what you can create: a canvas, art journal pages, a dimensional piece...where ever your imagination can take you; as long as these three things are included.

So .... let's see .... how about something very dimensional and tactile, something delicate and feminine and something with an edgy, industrial feel?  Wow!  Now there are three totally different genres!  Here they are:

  • Corrugated Paper - this could be a piece of cardstock, part of a peeled cardboard box; as long as it's corrugated and paper, it's acceptable.
  • Lace - vintage or recently store bought, as long as it's lace.
  • Metal - wide open to interpretation; but tons of things to choose from
Have fun with this challenge and be sure to share your art on our Creative Carte Blanche gallery using our Inlinkz link below.  Be sure to include your creative process through your thoughts and pictures so we can all learn from each other.

Annette Green will be first up to share her Triple Trouble art piece with you on Tuesday, March 8th.  I can't wait to see what her wonderfully creative brain comes up with!!
Stay tuned....

Finally ... have you noticed our new look?  We've added Pinterest and Facebook pages and their tabs are at the top of our Creative Carte Blanche.  We welcome you to visit them and really become involved in this community.

Can't wait to see those creative wheels turning!
